On Wednesday at Saratoga, turf sprinters will take center stage in the 3rd running of the $100,000 Coronation Cup. Restricted to three-year-old fillies, the five and a half furlong contest will be run over the Mellon Turf Course and has drawn a field of ten. 
Some of the best three-year-olds in the country will battle for supremacy in Saturday’s $600,000 Grade 2 Jim Dandy Stakes. It will be the 51st running of the mile and an eighth race which has traditionally served as a prep race for the “Mid-Summer Derby”, the Travers Stakes (G1). 
On Monday at Saratoga, the $100,000 Shine Again Stakes has attracted a top quality field of six fillies and mares including former champion juvenile filly My Miss Aurelia. The race will be contested at seven furlongs on the main track and is named in honor of Shine Again, a sprint mare who earned her biggest victories at the Spa.
The $150,000 Grade III Sanford Stakes occupies its usual place on the initial weekend card of the Saratoga meeting as nine two year-olds are signed on to contest the classic six furlong event July 19 in New York. 
On Friday, three-year-olds will try their luck on the inner turf in the $100,000 Sir Cat Stakes at Saratoga Race Course. The race will be run one mile and is restricted to horses which have not won a graded stakes on turf. The field consists of eight horses including Preakness (G1) runner Pablo Del Monte who is entered for the main track only. 
The $200,000 Grade III Parx Dash Handicap features a classy field of ten turf sprinters July 12 in Philadelphia. 
This Saturday at Arlington Park, the $150,000 Stars and Stripes Stakes has drawn a competitive field of ten. The Grade 3 race will be contested at a mile and a half on the turf.
A field of ten long distance turf horses has been assembled to compete in Sunday’s $500,000 United Nations Handicap at Monmouth Park. The Grade 1 event will be run at a mile and three-eighths. 
The $200,000 Grade III Dwyer Stakes kicks off an enticing day of stakes action at Belmont Park as part of the Stars & Stripes Festival.
