Warren’s Veneda has assumed the role of the morning line favorite at odds of 6-5 for trainer Craig Lewis. Bred in California, the five-year-old daughter of Affirmative is undefeated from three starts this year and earned her first Grade 1 victory last time out in the Santa Margarita Stakes (G1). She will have regular rider Tyler Baze in the irons as she goes for the ninth win of her career and they are scheduled to break from the rail.
My Sweet Addiction taking another shot at black type
Second choice at 5-2 on the morning line is My Sweet Addiction for trainer Martin Jones. Bred and owned by Pamela Ziebarth, the five-year-old mare is a daughter of Tiznow and has been on the board in eight of her nine starts. She is stepping back up to stakes company after winning an optional claiming race last time out and is will break from post five under jockey Mike Smith.
Gas Total (BRZ) stepping up after a sharp win
Also in the field at 4-1 on the morning line is Gas Total (BRZ) for trainer Richard Mandella. A six-year-old daughter of Sulamani (IRE), she made her North American debut a winning one last time out with a win against optional claiming company at Santa Anita. That was her first start in four months and she will be stepping up in class with jockey Flavien Prat aboard from post two.
