Undefeated Blofeld Returns in $100,000 William Walker Stakes
Todd Pletcher will saddle Blofeld as the favorite at odds of 7-5 on the morning line. A gray son of Quality Road, he is undefeated from three starts and has been on the shelf since winning the Nashua Stakes (G2) as a juvenile at Aqueduct. He has been training steadily at Palm Beach Downs for his return to the races and is scheduled to break from post position two under John Velazquez for his sophomore debut.
Consistent Cinco Charlie a top contender
Second choice at 2-1 on the morning line is Cinco Charlie for trainer Steve Asmussen. A bay son of Indian Charlie, he has been on the board in nine of his ten starts and was a graded stakes winner at Churchill Downs as a juvenile. He was last seen finishing second in the Mine That Bird Derby at Sunland Park. Ricardo Santana, Jr. will be aboard and they will break from post position four.
Holiday Camp returning off of a layoff
Also in the field at morning line odds of 5-1 is Holiday Camp for trainer Bob Baffert. A chestnut son of Street Boss, he has won win from three starts and will be making his first start since a ninth-place finish in the Del Mar Futurity (G1) as a juvenile in September. He has been training steadily and will have jockey Miguel Mena in the irons from the outside post in the field of six.
