Eight Juveniles Set for $100,000 Bashford Manor Stakes
He’s Comin in Hot has been tabbed as the morning line favorite at odds of 9-5 for trainer William Bret Calhoun. A gelded son of Early Flyer, he will be stepping up to stakes company after breaking his maiden in his third career start last time out. After improving in his first two efforts, he delivered as the favorite over six rivals at Churchill Downs last time out. He will have regular rider Jamie Theriot, II in the irons and they will break from the rail.
Shoot Craps going for back to back wins
Second choice at 2-1 on the morning line is Shoot Craps for trainer Diane Kobiskie. Purchased for $110,000 as a yearling, the dark bay son of Trappe Shot finished third in his debut on the main track and broke his maiden last time out after switching to the turf. He will be going back to the dirt track for his stakes debut and will have Deshawn Parker back aboard from post position five as he goes for his second straight win.
Show Bound aiming for maiden score
Also in the field at morning line odds of 5-2 is Show Bound for trainer Steve Asmussen. A $170,000 purchase as a yearling, the bay son of Warrior’s Reward will be attempting to break his maiden against stakes competition. He made his career debut on the turf last time out and finished third behind Shoot Craps as the favorite. Julian Leparoux will be aboard for the first time from the outside post.
